Dr. Simone Maria Stünzi

Postdoc

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

I am a land surface modeler with a background in physical geography and remote sensing. My research interests are interactions between ecosystem components and their behavior under changing climatic circumstances, focusing on permafrost-affected boreal ecosystems in Siberia and Canada. I have developed and intensively validated a detailed permafrost-forest land surface model to understand the ecosystems’ role in a changing climate.
